Having had several holidays with you in the last 3 years, including three this year, I thought I would just like to say a big Thank You. Dave's pre-holiday organisation skills have been excellent and Andy's driving first class. In the Czech Republic seeing 9 out of the ten European Woodpeckers was outstanding as was the 9 immature White Tailed Eagles near Trebon. Several of the places we visited were UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the buildings were really interesting. The trip to the Spanish Pyrenees produced Lammergeier and Wallcreeper, which were my main target birds, and the most recent trip to Bulgaria had excellent views of both White and Dalmatian Pelicans. I am now really looking forward to 2010 when I am joining you in May for Canada. |

Very many thanks for the excellent and very readable tour report. As you so rightly summed up, it was a good trip and as I said at the Parador de Gredos it was without doubt the best such tour we have ever been involved in. So as we say in thr Royal Navy, "Bravo Zulu" (Signalase for "Well Done"). |

All in all it was a great trip with lots of impressive birds. However, it was not just seeing the birds which was good, but also observing their behaviour. This gives an added dimension. The occasions which immediately come to mind are the impressive mobbing of the great-spotted cuckoo, the montagu's harrier's food pass and the little bustard's displays.

Dear Dave and Andy. We both wanted to thank you very much for the trip to the Czech Republic - we both enjoyed it very much indeed. As well as five new birds for Gordon (more than that for me, of course!!) we enjoyed the company and the places. It felt more relaxed than some birding holidays, and that was not a bad thing!! |

Many thanks for an excellent birding holiday with Lanius Bird Tours to the lovely Island of Lesbos. really admired the knowledge and ability to find good birds that you and Andy exhibited. It was a really friendly group and an excellent hotel, and of the 140 types of bird that you found for us, 22 were new to me. I shall have no hesitation to recommend LANIUS BIRD TOURS to my friends who look for a small, friendly birding group with superb leaders, who have excellent organisational skills and who go out of their way to make their client's birding holiday as memorable as possible.

This was my first birding trip abroad, and I was not disappointed, a great trip with some great birds; highlights for me included good views of Eagle Owl and the many Bee-eaters. Can't wait to join Andy and Dave again in the near future. |
