DAVE READ
His interest in wildlife started at the early age of 12 whilst on holiday in the Scottish Highlands, this soon led him to become a keen birdwatcher and member of many related organisations. Now with over 20 years experience, this interest has become a way of life, he's travelled extensively throughout the UK from Scilly to Shetland amassing a wealth of experience on the way. However nowadays, the majority of his birding is done close to home in North Nottinghamshire where he lives with his family. His travels have also taken him to many of the finest birding sites in Europe including Bulgaria, The Czech Republic, Lesvos, Cyprus, The Canary Islands and France as well as over a dozen visits to the various regions of Spain. Further afield he has visited Israel, Canada and the US. He is also a keen armature wildlife photographer with examples of his work published in several birding magazines as well as this website.

ANDY SHOOTER
Interested in birds from an early age, this obsession really came into its own after acquiring a temporary job with the National Trust at Clumber Park Nottinghamshire. Despite leaving employment with the trust, he has remained loyal to Clumber ever since, making it his local patch and working it passionately for the last 20 years. During this time he has gained a huge amount of knowledge, not only of birds, but of nature in general. Despite working full time, he still manages to actively watch other local sites including the Lound GP complex, which is close to his home where he lives with his wife and children. This passion has also seen him travel widely throughout the UK, as well as many European Destinations such as, Portugal, Spain, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Turkey. Further afield he's visited Israel and Canada as well as touring much of the US.
